Goodbye San Francisco
So much has happened since the last post we made. We moved for fellowship to Boston just recently and we are all adjusting to this new place. It was very difficult to leave San Francisco as we developed a great community of friends and kid friends. Of course we loved our house which we have rented out and had a special neighborhood. So far Leo has made the transition really well. He has an amazing view of the big dig tunnels and Zakim bridge from his window (on the 24th floor), although he misses his friends and neighborhood. Ari has had trouble sleep after finally sleeping well back home in SF. Patty, the Leo and Justine's share nanny came with us to Boston and just left today. It was great help having her on the plane ride out and for the first few days of unpacking. She is such a great person and we had a lot of fun with her when she was not working. I finished residency (hoorah!) only to start what seems to be a more intense program for the forseeable future. Meanwhile Melissa has the formidable task of holding down the fort- creating a fun and livable environment for herself and the kids until the program is over.
To update on the kids:
Ari is now 6 months old. He is a real looker. He is so smiley and pretty. He has huge fat thighs and butt that are so much fun to squeeze. He is a very active baby who is sensitive, dramatic, smart, and very sweet. He really wants to move but can only sit up for now. He is trying to crawl and can hold on to furniture while standing.
Leo continues to be the sweet, funny, smart kid we love. His sense of humor is amazing. He is such a good boy (but has his share of tantrums). He is potty trained except for nighttime and naptime although sometimes he wakes up dry. He is lots of fun and still obsessed with trucks, trains, etc.
There are lots of pictures and so this will be in multiple posts over the coming days. Some of these pictures are actually from April, so I am very behind!
