7 weeks old!

Over the last 2 weeks (during which I did not post any pictures) Leo did a lot of crying! Leo cried most of the time he was awake, which was most of the day. But he seems to have turned the corner! And best of all, Leo smiles on command, but only in the morning. We took him to the pediatrician, who wanted to examine him because of all the crying to make sure nothing was wrong physically. Not surprisingly, Leo weighed 14 pounds-- so he is putting on a pound a week still. I'm taking bets on when Leo gets bigger than Melissa. I don't think it will be too long!








We went to the post office to apply for a passport for Leo for our December family trip to the Dominican Republic. Our homemade pictures were unacceptable because they did not meet the rigorous standards according to the postal clerk. We tried to take a passport picture there- which involved kneeling on the ground holding Leo out in the air against the background, while hiding our hands holding him. He also had to have his eyes open. Well he really didn't like that and had a meltdown so we had to abort. So I took a bunch of passport pictures at home, hopefully one of them will be adequate!
